Terms and Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to any and all bookings and interactions with Girl Around The Globe, Co. (“Company”, “We”, “Our”). Please read these terms carefully as they set forth the rights and responsibilities of the Company and its Clients (“clients”, “you”). By using our website or contacting us to book travel, you hereby agree to the terms set forth below. In addition, you agree that you are at least 18 years of age , or otherwise authorized to enter into a contractual relationship in the state of Ohio. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS IN FULL BEFORE USING OUR SITE OR SERVICES.
Booking Travel
To reserve your space on a Girl Around the Globe trip, you must complete the online Enrollment Form and submit a non-refundable deposit to hold your place on the trip. By booking travel through Girl Around the Globe, you agree to abide by any separate terms and conditions of any supplier providing services related to your booking, including transport, lodging Girl Around the Globe, you agree that any violation of these terms or those of any supplier could result in the cancellation of your trip package and/or related reservation.
For reservations made less than 30 days before your departure, you must pay for your trip in full at the time of purchase. We will not offer deposit or payment plans.
Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
All bookings and payments will be accepted electronically through the Girl Around the Globe website. The payments made to Girl Around the Globe will not cover airfare, travel insurance, passports and/or visas, cost of luggage, and any unexpected fees incurred during travel to and from the selected destination.
Clients will be required to make a nonrefundable deposit of $350 at the time of booking. All subsequent payments will be non-refundable unless a cancellation is requested within more than 30 days of the first day of the scheduled trip. At the time of booking, clients will receive a payment schedule to make installment payments for their trip, or clients may opt to submit a one-time payment for the entire trip cost.
Installment payments will be automatically deducted from Clients’ selected form of payment. If any installment payment is not received for any reason, Clients agree to pay us all amounts due immediately on demand.
Refunds & Cancellations
If you need to cancel. Clients may request a refund of their remaining balance if requested more than 30 days before the date of the scheduled trip. If a refund request is accepted, refunds will be made available only to the person named on the booking payment receipt. Girl Around the Globe reserves the right to deny refund requests if the request results in a financial burden for the Company. We strongly suggest that Clients secure travel insurance that covers trip cancellation costs.
If we need to cancel. In the rarest of occasions, there may be a need for us to cancel a trip due to extreme weather conditions, political conditions, or other factors beyond our control. Any decision made to change or cancel the trip will be made in the best interests of our Clients’ safety. In the rare event that we need to cancel a trip we will work with individual Clients to determine if a Trip Credit or full or partial refund is appropriate. Any additional costs would be the Client’s responsibility to file a claim with their insurance company.
If we need to make changes. In the event that we need to delay a trip or make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseeable circumstances such as weather, transportation delays, or political turmoil, Clients will receive the full cost of the trip in a Trip Credit towards another Girl Around the Globe experience.
Credit/Debit Card Chargeback Policy
We strive to provide top tier service to our clients from the time of booking to the final day of our trips. If for any reason you have concerns with our service, you agree to give us the opportunity to address your concerns and you agree no to file a chargeback with your bank or credit card provider. By signing this agreement you agree to work with us in good faith to resolve your dispute and you acknowledge that chargebacks should be utilized to avoid our cancellation and refund policies.
Travel Insurance and Unexpected Expenses
All clients who attend Girl Around the Globe trips are required to provide proof of travel insurance before the trip begins. Clients’ travel insurance must cover the following:
- Coverage for all activities including in the trip
- Personal injury,
- Medical Care,
- Repatriation,
- Medical evacuation,
- Covid 19 coverage (strongly recommended)
Client acknowledges that Client will be responsible for expenses related to lost or delayed luggage as well as trip interruptions and cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, Clients are encouraged to purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations for any reason. Please note that plans covering cancellation for any reason typically must be purchased within 14 days of the initial deposit payment.
Clients must provide Girl Around the Globe with proof of travel insurance that meets the requirements above, within 14 days prior to the date of departure.
Photography and Video Release
By booking a Girl Around The Globe experience, you acknowledge that we reserve the right to employ a photographer and/or videographer to capture moments from the trip and share on social media channels and our website for marketing purposes. As such, Girl Around the Globe will own the rights to the images, photos, video, and other media produced during your trip.
By booking a Girl Around the Globe trip, you further authorize Girl Around the Globe a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce content containing your name, likeness, identify, image, and/or voice. Please contact Girl Around the Globe if you wish to request any exceptions to this policy.
Clients will be requested to review and sign a Photo and Video Release Agreement at the time of booking to confirm acknowledgement of this policy.
Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk
Clients acknowledge that they understand the risk associated with any activities related to their trips booked with Girl Around the Globe. As such, Clients agree to release Girl Around the Globe and any third-party operators (tour guides, transportation providers, etc.) from responsibility in the unlikely event of an accident during the trip. Clients agree that they have valid travel and health documents which cover and permit them to travel on the dates of their selected trip.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Ohio.
